  • Why is it called MO/GO™ ?

    MO/GO™ stands for Mountain Goat, one of the world’s best climbers. We love their agility, independence, and tendency to show up in hard-to-reach places. That’s the spirit we want MO/GO to inspire: freedom to move, explore, and climb your own mountain.

  • Does MO/GO™ walk for me?

    MO/GO™ doesn’t walk for you. But it does walk with you. It gives you a 40% boost by helping your legs do the hard work especially in your quads and hamstrings. Think of it like a pedal-assist e-bike: you’re still doing the activity, but it feels easier and more powerful.

    This is part of what makes MO/GO™ feel so natural - it understands and amplifies your walking.

  • Is MO/GO™ right for me?

    If you experience joint pain, leg fatigue, or find yourself opting out of hikes or long walks due to discomfort, MO/GO™ could be a great match. It’s designed to support people whose strength or stamina isn’t quite what it used to be or who want to go further without going harder.

    And if you’re still not sure if MO/GO™ is right for you, consider renting one for a day - we’d love for you to try it for yourself and tell us how it feels!

  • Is the MO/GO™ I see today the same one I’ll receive with my preorder?

    The MO/GO™ you see on our website shows our most recent working prototypes. We’re still refining the industrial design, fit system, and software to make the product more comfortable, reliable, and powerful before it ships in 2026.

    When you preorder, you’re reserving the latest version at launch , not a fixed model. You’ll also receive regular updates on design improvements along the way. If you join our beta testing program, you may even try interim versions and share feedback before the final product is delivered.

  • Is MO/GO™ a medical device?

    No, MO/GO™ is not FDA-approved or classified as a medical device.

    We are partnering with several leading clinics to develop a related product specifically designed to help people living with neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s Disease. It won’t be commercially available for a while, but if you live in Northern California and would be interested in testing our medical prototypes, reach out to us at medical@skipwithjoy.com.

  • How does MO/GO™ sizing work?

    We designed MO/GO™ to fit as many people as possible. Right now, it comes in 10 size options. We size you using quick details — like your height, weight, and usual pant size — to reserve the right fit.

    Before shipping, we’ll follow up individually with more sizing questions to make sure your MO/GO fits comfortably and securely. Every device is also highly adjustable, so you can fine-tune the fit day-to-day.

    If you prefer extra support, you’ll also have the option to work with our team at rental or retail locations to get expert help with fitting.

  • Can I use MO/GO™ in the snow or rain?

    Yes, MO/GO™ is built for real-world conditions. While your preorder includes a summer-weight pant, we’ll soon offer winter options too. Our team has tested MO/GO™ in alpine environments, including snowy trails and variable weather.

  • Is MO/GO™ waterproof or weatherproof?

    The electronics and motors are weather-resistant and protected against snow and light rain. However, MO/GO™ isn’t rated for full submersion.

  • How far can I walk on a single charge?

    With full assistance on steep uphill terrain, you can expect 3+ hours or ~6 miles per charge. Your order includes 2 batteries and we will offer spares for purchase as well. It also recharges slightly on descents, giving you extended range.

  • Can I take MO/GO™ through airport security or on a plane?

    Yes. MO/GO™ is carry-on approved and uses standard lithium-ion batteries. Always check airline rules regarding battery storage.

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Yes, MO/GO™ is available for preorder worldwide. We’ll provide full details on shipping costs, timelines, and support before deliveries begin in 2026.

  • How much does MO/GO™ weigh?

    The full system weighs about 2 kg (just under 4.5 lbs), evenly distributed across your legs.. Most users find it disappears into the background once they start walking.

  • Can I use trekking poles with MO/GO™?

    Absolutely. MO/GO™ is compatible with your existing hiking setup. In fact, many of our users combine it with poles for extra support.

  • Can I wear just one side of MO/GO™?

    Not yet. MO/GO™ is currently designed to be worn on both legs. A future update will enable single-side powered use, especially for people who need unilateral support.

  • What’s the difference between MO/GO™ and a knee brace?

    MO/GO™ is powered, responsive, and designed to work with your body in real time. Braces are passive. MO/GO™ gives you energy back with every step.

  • Does MO/GO™ come with a warranty?

    Yes. Every MO/GO™ will include a standard manufacturer’s warranty covering hardware, electronics, and fit adjustments. We’ll share exact warranty details closer to shipping!

  • What is the MO/GO™ return policy?

    Your $99 order deposit is fully refundable at any point before we ship your product! All you have to do is request a refund by emailing us at orders@skipwithjoy.com.

    We know trying MO/GO™ is a big decision. Our goal is to make sure you love it. Full return and exchange options will be published well ahead of shipping, and you’ll always have the chance to test and adjust fit at our rental and retail locations before committing.
